Code of conduct

Welcome to #HelloStavanger!
Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.


Expected Behavior
1. Respect: Treat everyone with respect and consideration, valuing a diversity of views and opinions.
2. Collaboration: Be considerate in speech and actions and actively seek to engage in collaboration.
3. Communication: Communicate openly and listen respectfully to others.
4. Inclusivity: Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert conference organizers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
5. Privacy: Respect the privacy of other attendees. Do not take photographs or record conversations without consent.


Unacceptable Behavior
1. Harassment: Harassment and discriminatory behavior of any kind, including offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
2. Intimidation: Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct by any attendees.
3. Disruption: Sustained disruption of talks or other events.
4. Inappropriate Contact: Inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, or sexual advances.


Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference without a refund.


Reporting an Incident

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified by their badges.Thank you for helping make this a welcoming, friendly space for all.
